How to Measure Rooms for Furniture Delivery
Published on Jul 03, 2026
One of the most common furniture mistakes is purchasing a piece that won't fit through the doorway or stairwell. Here is our step-by-step measuring guide.
1. Doorway Clearance
Measure the height and width of all entry doorways, hallways, and elevators. Compare these with the sofa's diagonal depth.
2. Room Layout
Leave at least 30 inches of walking path space between major pieces of furniture for comfortable traffic flow.
